Video of NOC Pins from Athens 2004 Olympic Games
Posted on Dec 7, 2010In this video of the 2004 Athens Opening Ceremonies, you can see the athletes of Dominica Wearing one of the pins that we collaborated the design on. The pins are exceptional for two reasons. The first is the rarity of the pin. National Olympic Committee pins are created uniquely for the athletes and Olympic committees of the representing countries. Generally, the run volume of pins is determined by the quanity of athletes in each of the games. Therefore, the smaller the country is, the more rare the pins are and more valued by collectors. The second reason these pins are so unique is that they are a pin-on-pin design. This requires small pin/hinges that allow the wings to fold or flap up and down creating an additional element to the pin. Click on the Image for the Video.
